We Who Wrestle With God | Week 1

Have you ever felt like God was asking you to trust Him when absolutely nothing made sense?

You’re in good company.

Abraham’s story is filled with moments like that. God asked him to leave everything familiar and follow Him into the unknown. God promised Abraham that he would become the father of a great nation—and then Abraham and Sarah waited 25 years for a son. When Isaac finally arrived, God asked Abraham to surrender the very thing he had waited so long to receive.

Abraham trusted God, but that doesn’t mean he never struggled. He questioned. He doubted. He laughed. He tried to take control. He wrestled.

And maybe that’s something we need to remember: Faith doesn’t mean we stop wrestling with God. Sometimes the people who trust God the most wrestle the longest.

You may be wrestling today. Maybe you’ve prayed for healing that hasn’t come. Maybe you’re worried about your child, struggling in your marriage, or asking God the same question you’ve been asking for years.

Abraham’s story reminds us that God can be trusted even when life doesn’t make sense.

And the greatest evidence isn’t that Abraham eventually received Isaac—it’s that God gave us Jesus.

When we can’t understand God’s plan, we can still trust His heart.
