The Art of Vinemaking

When we abide in Christ, every season is fruitful in its own way.
In John 15, Jesus invites us to “abide” in Him like branches connected to a vine. But in a culture driven by productivity, it’s easy to believe our value comes from how much we produce. This week at Heartland, we explored a different way of living through the metaphor of vinekeeping.
Just as vineyards move through seasons of dormancy, growth, and harvest, our spiritual lives do too. Dormancy can feel like loss or pruning, yet God is often doing His deepest work beneath the surface. Growth reminds us that transformation happens best in community, while harvest reveals the fruit that naturally flows from a life rooted in Jesus.
Fruitfulness isn’t something we hustle to create—it grows through abiding.
So the invitation is simple: slow down, remain connected to Jesus, and ask yourself… What season is your soul in?

Who We Are

No matter where you’re at in life or what questions you’re carrying, you’re welcome here. At Heartland Community Church, we’re ordinary people trying to follow Jesus in the middle of real life, with all its messy moments and ordinary challenges.
