Volunteer Coordinator of Pastoral Care

1.) What name/nickname do you prefer to be called?

While living in California, somehow I acquired the nickname, "Dickie Poo"and they still call me that today. Adding more confusion, I have also been called Rick, Dicky, and Dick. HOWEVER, Rich is just fine.

2.) If you could write your own job title that best describes what you do here, what would it be?

Love everyone Jesus sends my way, hoping to bring comfort to life's tough moments.

3.) What is your favorite verse from The Bible?

John 15:13 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
Greater love has no one that this, that one lay down his life for his friends.

4.) What volunteering or passion projects do you do outside of work?

My "work" is Building Monitor/Manger on Duty" at Medina Community Recreation Center. It is a part time position with all the uncool hours. My volunteering passion is here at Heartland as the Volunteer Pastoral Care Coordinator.

5.) What is your favorite cereal?

Generic Oatmeal. Quick, fast and easy.

6.) Which way does your toilet paper hang on the wall – over or under?

I don't understand the question.... there's only one way...over the top.

7.) What are three things still left on your bucket list?

I have lived outside Los Angeles and on Hilton Head and visited three islands in Hawaii and somehow have never gotten on a surfboard. I aim to learn to surf before I have to mount my walker to a board. Having a book published has been one for a long time however, I have a book at the publishing company right now. I have done acting, print work and a few TV commercials, yet I really hope to land a role in a big screen movie.
