Name: Jen Wuersig
Bio: Jen initially began her career as a high school English Language Arts teacher. She spent the next decade in financial services, using her teaching skills as an enterprise training manager and certified international learning consultant. Within that faith journey, she discovered a passion for helping others grow in their relationship with Jesus, especially those suffering from difficult life circumstances. [Certified Spiritual Director, Kairos University]
Approach to Spiritual Direction: Jen uses Isaiah 64:8 as a guiding principle in her approach to spiritual direction; allowing the Potter (God) to mold and shape us (the clay) to be more like him. Her empathy and compassion create a safe space for her directees to share their life experiences; both sorrows and joys, while noticing where the Holy Spirit is at work. Her goal is to be present with you as you explore Jesus’ invitation to deepen your relationship with him and experience his healing love.

Name: Melody Ambrose
Bio: Melody has served in ministry with her husband, Pastor David Ambrose, for over 30 years. She has led in youth ministry, women’s ministry, worship ministry and now is on staff part-time as the Facilities Coordinator of Heartland. Melody and David have two boys that are now grown and married.  Melody is learning how to live in a more quiet “nest” and also love and care for parents who are growing older. Melody enjoys hiking with David and their dog Bensen, traveling, growing flowers in her garden and yard, reading, crocheting and quilting. The passion of her soul is to learn to listen to and grow closer to God/Jesus/Holy Spirit every day and see him in every aspect of her life.  [Certified Spiritual Director, Kairos University]
Approach to Spiritual Direction: “When I try to explain what Spiritual Direction is to me, I see a river. I am standing in the river, and I see someone floating toward me on their inner tube. As they approach me, I look them in the eye, listen to their life-stories, encourage them for their journey and let them go. I don’t tell them how to paddle or get in their tube and paddle for them, I support them for a moment and release them to the flow of the River which is the Holy Spirit. My personal experience and knowledge with/of the River may help inform their journey, but it is their journey to travel. It is the passion of my soul to listen to people tell their life stories and come along-side of them and help them hear the whispers of the Holy Spirit in their lives and to grow closer in relationship with God.”
