Easter | The Suffering Servant’s Victory

Scars often tell stories—stories of pain, healing, and hope. This Resurrection Sunday we’re reminded that even Jesus, in His resurrected body, bore scars. Just like a personal story of recovery from surgery can reflect God’s faithfulness, Jesus’ scars reveal the greatest story ever told: redemption. As Isaiah prophesied, “by His wounds we are healed,” and in John’s account, the risen Christ shows His scars to prove both His identity and His victory over death.
These marks are not symbols of defeat, but of love, grace, and triumph. They remind us that pain is not the end of the story. Because Jesus conquered death, our wounds and struggles can also be transformed into testimonies of hope. What story do your scars tell?
